May the 4th Be with You

Celebrate May the 4^th with DeadBeach!

Make plans to come to the brewery on Sunday, May 4th from 10am to 5pm for a full day of Star Wars fun for the entire family. We’ll be featuring a themed beer, food menu and some fun activities all day long! See below for everything we’ve got going on.

Star Wars themed Beer Release and Food Menu all day long!

Special Guest Appearance by:

C. Andrew Nelson (Darth Vader) 10:00am – 5:00pm. C. Andrew Nelson will be signing autographs for $40 each and this includes an 8×10 photo and a table selfie! 

Star Wars Trivia:

Sign your team up for our Star Wars Trivia! Tickets for the trivia are $70 for a team of up to 4 people. The ticket includes participating in the trivia session, a themed pint glass filled with a core beer OR house root beer. Trivia will be hosted from 2:30pm to 3:30pm, all teams must be on-site for check-in by 2:00pm. First place winners will receive $250, second place $150. Space is limited, sign your team up today on Eventbrite.com or by clicking here, team registration prices go up on March 16. 

Costume Contest:

We’ll have a costume contest for both adults and kids! Only 20 sign-ups per category will be available. $100 cash prize for the adult category, and a Star Wars prize pack for the winner in the kid’s category. Here are the full costume contest details:  

Costume Contest: 

• Limit 20 sign-ups per category, free to enter 
• Costume contest will be pre-judged  
• Costume presentation will take place from 4pm-5pm at the main stage 
• Grand prize (adult category): $100 cash 
• Grand prize (kids category): Star Wars prize pack 

Timeline: 

• Costume Contest Sign-ups: 10am-1pm 
• Pre-Judging (adults): 1:15pm-2pm 
• Pre-Judging (kids): 2:15pm-3pm 
• Check-in & Que at Stage: 3:45pm 
• Contest: 4pm-5pm 

Adult Category

Costumes will be judged using the following criteria: 

• Likeness to character 
• Presentation 
• Creativity 
• Originality 

Note: Costumes must be at least 50% handmade. No fully store-bought costumes will be allowed in the competition. 

Kids Category

Costumes will be judged using the following criteria: 

• Likeness to character 
• Presentation 

Note: Kids costumes can be fully store-bought, but handmade elements are a plus.

Featured Activation with Tech Frontier by Fab Lab El Paso:  

Fab Lab El Paso will be joining in on the Star Wars fun as they bring out their 3-D pens for guests to use at the event! The 3-D pens will be absolutely free to use, and you’ll have some fun Star Wars themed templates to follow as you create!
